This year, on 1 May 2013, the 5th Jazz & Classical Music, partnership with Musique au Coeur des Baronnies was dedicated to the greatest hits of classical music revisited by Jazz musicians, as well as creation about this thema. With two pianists, Hervé Sellin (great composer and interprete and wonderful and generous artist), and Fanny Azzuro, the Lady, and three young musiciens of the National Conservatory of Music : Remi Fox, saxophones, Kevin Lucchetti, drums and Emmanuel Forster, bass. And now, en route for the 11th Serres Jazzfest in summer from 22 till 28 July 2013 at the Théâtre de Verdure of La Germanette and other places around Serres, and and art exhibition starting on 15 July.

22 July : Good Morning Billie, tribute to Billie Holiday, with Behia Jazz 5tet, Behia (voc) and Thomas Chabalier (vibraphone), Philippe Cocogne (piano), Patrice Taboni (bass) and Jérôme Achat(drums).

23 July : Jazz and afternoon tea.

24 July : the pianist Cyrus Chestnut trio, with Darryl Hall (bass), willie Jones III (drums) invites Piero Odorici (tenor saxophone).

26 July : Jazz club Claksound, Esther Mainieri (voc) jazz band.

27 July : Gérard Marais (guitar) trio, with Jeremy Ternoy (piano) et Christophe Marguet (drums) invites Henri Texier (bass)

28 July : Final concert with the 10 musiciens of the famous Anachronic Jazz Band.

Serres, in the Buëch valley

The Festival takes place in one of the most attractive parts of Europe, in a typical village of the southern fringes of the French Alps and the valley of the river Buëch, right in the middle of the land of thyme and lavender : "Mountains in Provence". Serres is a medieval fortified village built around a rock in the shape of a Phrygian cap, la Pignolette (funny name). The concerts take place at the open air Theatre of La Germanette, situated by a lake and surrounded by mountains or at the Salle Lucien Sallée, beautiful place in the village. Besides, some concerts also take place in villages near Serres.

Tickets & Booking, practical information

Festival : from 22 till 28 July 2013

Practical information concerning concerts, date, venue, prices will be available by clicking on programme and Tickets Booking.

Tickets will be available at the Serres Tourist Office, or at Harmonia Mundi in Gap, or at Veynes and Laragne Tourist Office, or via FNAC, Ticketnet or Infoconcert or else at the venue, one hour before the concert starts. You can also buy tickets through this website, payable in check (France only). Details on ticket prices and booking are available by clicking on Programme.
