Sidney Bechet Memory All Stars

 

Sidney Bechet left us 50 years ago this year and many are the tributes to his memory. With five of its musicians who have played with Sidney, the Poumy Arnaud and Christian Azzi septet are certainly the most appropriate for this particular tribute. Sax player Olivier Franc, generally considered as Sydney’s best disciple, plays the master’s own soprano saxophone.
